Patrick Henry High School was founded in 1972 in the Del Cerro neighborhood of San Diego, California. Named after the great American patriot and Founding Father Patrick Henry, the school was established to serve the rapidly growing communities in eastern San Diego.

Throughout its rich history, Patrick Henry has consistently upheld high academic standards while building championship athletic programs and nationally recognized arts departments. The school’s green, gold, and white colors along with its Patriot mascot represent the core values of courage, integrity, and leadership.

Today, with over 2,400 students, Patrick Henry High School remains deeply committed to providing a well-rounded education that prepares young people for success in college and beyond.
